A skydiving experience you will always remember!

A Tandem skydive is an introduction to the exciting world of skydiving.

Requirements - Certain Requirements must be met in order to skydive at Red Rock Skydiving.

From the moment you walk into the building, you will feel that you are in for a unique experience. Once the paper work is completed, you will be personally introduced to your tandem instructor. Your instructor will spend the necessary time to explain a tandem skydive and how you can best add to the enjoyment of your tandem skydive. On a tandem skydive, you and your instructor will share specially designed skydiving equipment built for two people.

During the flight, usually lasting from 15 to 20 minutes, you will enjoy the aerial sights around the Verde Valley. Your instructor will point out the ancient Indian ruins and the historic mining town of Jerome. Now you are over the red rocks of Sedona where you will see the famous Cathedral Rock, Courthouse Rock, Bell Rock, and many others. Your instructor will also direct your attention to the San Francisco Peaks above Flagstaff, Sycamore Canyon and the Verde River Canyon. Some days it is possible to even see the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Once we are back over the Cottonwood Airport, we are at altitude and ready to jump! You will be securely fastened to your instructor, the pilot will open the door, and it will be time for your skydive. You and your instructor will skydive together from the aircraft and freefall for approximately one mile. The instructor will pull the ripcord and you will both descend gently to the ground sharing a canopy engineered for two people. The next 3 to 5 minutes will be breathtaking as you float quietly back to earth while still enjoying the spectacular red rock scenery around Sedona.
